SHE SAYS THE MONEY CAME WITH SILENCE ATTACHED

Ashley St. Clair says she turned down $15 million to keep Musk’s son secret. He says the offer never happened. No court has ordered a dime either way.

Elon Musk and Ashley St. Clair weren’t in the Manhattan courtroom Thursday. Their lawyers were — three on each side, trying to settle a custody and money fight over their 2-year-old son, Romulus, whose paternity DNA settled a long time ago.

Everything else is war over claims.

Her version: she was offered $15 million plus $100,000 a month until the boy turns 21 — call it $40 million — to keep him secret forever. She says she refused. Then, she says, the money dropped to $40,000 a month. When she revealed the child publicly in February 2025, she says it dropped again, to $20,000 — and she says she faced eviction on that.

His version: he gave her $2.5 million voluntarily and was sending $500,000 a year — about $41,000 a month, which lands suspiciously close to her own middle number. He says the secret deal never existed. And back in January, after a post of hers he didn’t like, he announced he’d file for full custody.

Here’s the detail that changes the whole story: no judge has ever ordered any of this money. There is no court-ordered support. Every dollar was private, voluntary, and — if her timeline is even half right — negotiable based on her behavior.

Ordinary fathers don’t get that world. They get an order, a percentage, and a garnishment if they miss. She calls the cuts retaliation. His side calls her ask “astronomical.”

Both can be true: money offered privately can be a gift, a leash, or a settlement — depending on which lawyer you ask. The lawyers are back in court October 29.

A check with conditions isn’t support. It’s a contract nobody signed.
