The Best of the Best
IGN created a Top 25 Best Anime Series of All Time list a few days ago, despite people being upset by it (myself included), it was reader-voted. That means a lot of jabronis put Samurai Champloo on the list, but not Berserk, no Attack on Titan or Gurren Lagann.
If you put Samurai Champloo on your list of top 25 anime, I’m writing you off. I just can’t take you seriously. I understand DBZ making the list, it’s basic but popular. If it wasn’t for DBZ anime wouldn’t be as popular as it is today. But Samurai Champloo? Hell naw. And no Berserk?
Here’s my list of 25 best anime. They’re either good & or most influential
1. Attack on Titan
An anime about giant flesh-eating zombies, driving humanity to the brink of extinction. You damn right this has to make my top 25 list. It’s a very dark fantasy anime, with zombie-like monsters, consistent storytelling, blood guts, and gore. It will go down as one of the greatest but darkest anime series of all time when season 4 comes out next year. It’s even darker than Berserk.
2. Berserk
An old flame put me on to Berserk. What I like about Berserk is that it is a dark fantasy anime. I’m a fan of dark anime. It’s about a wandering swordsman named Guts. Fighting & Death is all he knows until he meets Griffith, Leader of the Band of the Hawk.
Guts is the slayer of 100 men in a single battle all by himself. It has a dope ass soundtrack
3. Cowboy Bebop
What’s not to like about Space cowboys in a galaxy western setting? Good voice acting, action, drama, badass anti-hero in Spike, schemy brawds (Faye Valentine).
4. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Two Brothers in search of the Philosopher’s Stone in hopes of getting their bodies back.
They lost their bodies due to playing with alchemy & not understanding the laws of equivalent exchange.
5. Sailor Moon
Just about every boy’s first anime crush.
Funny, witty, at times it came with a dope message. That’s how I would describe this show.
A lazy middle schooler who is always down on her luck until she meets a talking cat named Luna. She becomes the leader of the sailor scouts, though everybody is more qualified than this boy crazy loser.
6. Code Geass
After gaining the power of the kings, Lelouch Lamperouge created the vigilante Zero, to conceal his identity and bend the will of others to accomplish his goals.
This anime is very popular
What I like about this mech military anime are the power moves Lelouch makes.
7. Neon Genesis Evangelion
This is a dark anime made for the mature. Definitely a tragedy. The main characters always die a horrible death.
8. Yu Yu Hakusho
A battle shounen with a great plotline. Great fighting scenes with a great story.
9. Mobile Suit Gundam
It’s the first of the series, and also influence other mecha anime. Without this, there would be no other Gundam shows.
10. Rurouni Kenshin
It’s the most popular samurai anime
