SHE FILED FOR DIVORCE, ASKED FOR THE KID — AND DIDN’T COME FOR THE BAG

Mia Goth filed to divorce Shia LaBeouf after 10 years of marriage. Primary custody of their daughter. No spousal support for either of them.

Here’s what happened, plain.

Tuesday night, Mia Goth filed the papers. “Irreconcilable differences.” Separation date listed: July 28, 2025. They’d actually been split since last year — Page Six reported it back in February, when he moved to New Orleans to be near family and got arrested in a drunken Mardi Gras brawl.

They met in 2012 on the set of Nymphomaniac: Vol II. Married 2016. Split 2018. Back together by 2020. Daughter Isabel born 2022. Ten years of on-and-off. Now it’s paper.

Here’s what’s in the filing: she wants primary legal and physical custody of 4-year-old Isabel. And she asked the court for no spousal support — not for her, not for him. Nobody’s getting a monthly check out of this marriage.

Now here’s the part worth sitting with.

Back in March, Shia went on Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan and said it himself: he “failed” his marriage. “We were deeply unhappy. I made a lot of mistakes early on before we tried to have a baby. I had violated trust in a big, big way.” Said their problems were “impossible” to fix and they didn’t want to “be unhappy around a baby.”

Then in the same breath: “That’s a good girl. That’s one of the best girls that ever lived. She’s incredible, that woman. Incredible… all the time. 10 out of 10.” Said they’re figuring out co-parenting and “even through all this, she gives me grace.”

Read that again. A man looked into a camera and said the failure was his. No spin. No blame tour. And a woman who could have asked for everything asked for the kid and walked away from the bag.

WHEN’S THE LAST TIME YOU SAW A HOLLYWOOD DIVORCE WITH NO VILLAIN?

Somebody violated trust. Somebody filed. But nobody’s playing victim for the cameras, and nobody’s turning the kid into a paycheck.

That’s not how these stories usually go. Usually it’s war — lawyers, leaks, and the kid stuck in the middle. This one? Two people who couldn’t make it work, telling the truth about it in public, handling the kid like adults.

Accountability is supposed to be the whole point. He gave his. She gave grace. The paperwork is just catching up to what they already knew.

Watch the custody part, though. She asked for primary. He hasn’t fought it — yet. Filings are opening offers, not final scores. If that part stays clean too, this might be the most grown divorce Hollywood’s seen in years.
