Joe Manganiello says that’s what Sofía Vergara told him on his way out the door — and he put it in his memoir.
Joe Manganiello has a new memoir out, “Bloodlines,” and in it he tells his version of how his marriage to Sofía Vergara really ended.
For years he battled a serious autoimmune disorder — hospital stays, major surgery, his body breaking down. He says the marriage died long before the public saw anything. According to Joe, the two had already agreed to stay together publicly while it was over in private.
Then came the last conversation. He says Sofía, angry and hurt as he moved on with Caitlin O’Connor, told him he wasn’t as healthy as he thought, that he’d get sick again — and that in her opinion, no one would love him once they realized how sick he actually was.
“That was the last time I ever spoke to her,” he wrote.
Remember the public story when they split in 2023? It was about kids — she said he wanted them, she didn’t. Joe calls that version “annoying” in the book. This is the other version: a sick man, a marriage on life support, and a parting shot aimed at the one thing he couldn’t control.
There’s a money receipt too. Joe says he borrowed $500,000 from Sofía at zero interest to save his movie “Bottom of the 9th” — and still owed her $400,000 of it when they divorced.
Sofía hasn’t responded to the claims. Joe is engaged to Caitlin now. Somebody did love him — sickness and all.
A parting shot only becomes a prophecy if you live like it is.
