THE 13-YEAR-OLD TAKES THE STAND MONDAY

Halle Berry’s custody war goes back to court tomorrow. And this time the judge wants to hear from the kid.

Their 13-year-old son Maceo is court-ordered to testify at Monday’s restraining-order hearing. Closed courtroom. Limited to the restraining-order request only. No coaching, no circus — just the boy, the judge, and the question.

Here’s how we got here, plain.

Olivier Martinez alleges Halle physically abused Maceo on September 26 — a VR-glasses argument that he says turned into choking, with the words “Who is dominant now?!” Berry denies it flat. Calls it roughhousing. Filed her denial October 5.

Right now Martinez holds temporary custody. Berry gets two unsupervised weekday visits plus every other weekend. He’s asking for sole custody. She’s fighting it.

And the money underneath it: Berry pays Martinez $8,000 a month in child support, plus 4.3% of everything she earns over $2 million a year. Whoever holds custody holds the checkbook. That’s not a footnote — that’s the fight.

WHEN THE CUSTODY SPLIT DECIDES THE CHECK SIZE, THE KID BECOMES THE LEVERAGE.

Read that again. Thirteen years old. Ordered to take the stand in his parents’ war. Not because he did anything — because the adults couldn’t settle who gets to be the parent and who gets paid.

Nahla, Berry’s 18-year-old daughter, already filed a sworn declaration defending her mother. Martinez asked the judge to throw it out as biased. So now it’s the 13-year-old’s turn in the chair.

Nobody’s asking what’s best for Maceo. They’re asking what Maceo can do for the case.

That’s the machinery. Custody is leverage. Leverage is money. And the kid is the one who pays for all of it — in a closed courtroom, on a Monday, at thirteen.
