You ever notice how when two Black men have a disagreement, one’s calm and logical… and the other’s emotional, loud, and ready to throw it all away?
That’s what The Boondocks called a “nigga moment” — when reason leaves, and pride takes the wheel.
You’ll see one brother trying to de-escalate, saying “have a blessed day,” while the other’s yelling like respect lives in volume.
That calm one? He’s not scared. He’s pragmatic. He’s choosing to live to fight another day — not die over an ego.
Because truth is, some dudes don’t want peace. They want to prove something to strangers who don’t even remember their names a week later.
And when a woman jumps in to “defuse” it? 9 times out of 10, she only throws gasoline on it.
A real man knows when to walk away.
That’s not weakness — that’s wisdom with discipline.
Sometimes saying “have a blessed day” is the highest form of self-defense.
