Why Tupac will always going to be loved more than whatever favorite rapper you deem lyrically better

He was influential, & he made good music. Every time I listen to a rapper they say is better than Tupac, I can’t help but think that they rap over beats/instrumentals/tracks that are just straight-up ass. Why do lyrical rappers rap over beats that are ass? The only song on Illmatic that I liked, was Life’s a bitch. I disliked the whole album. I’m not a fan of Jay Z (especially after that nigga wore a dress), but he rapped over better instrumentals & thus created better music. Whoever produced the music knew how to make good shit to listen to. Biggie might have been better than Pac lyrically (whatever the fuck that means), but he damn sure wasn’t influential. I liked Juicy off of Ready to Die, but that was it. Hypnotize, F*cking You Tonight, I love the dough, Notorious Thugs, Going back to Cali, Ten Crack Commandments, Playa Hater, & Skies the Limit off of Life after Death. (LAD seems to be the album he had better producers on). Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to hate on Biggie, but he was out for himself in his music. (Nothing wrong with that).
Tupac made more influential music, almost conscious like (I hate that word). Songs I bumped with off 2Pacalypse now; Trapped, If my Homie Calls, Brenda’s got a Baby, Words of Wisdom, I don’t give a F*ck, & Part-time Mutha. Rappers like Kanye West think Pac is overrated, but this dude wear skirts, his opinion doesn’t matter. He hasn’t been influential since Late Registration & College Drop Out. That’s my opinion of Kanye & I will dismiss his opinion simply because he wore a skirt. Some people believe Pac was just an actor & he never was raised poor, that things about him were just stories told to sell a fictional character, or whatever. He was marketable, way more than biggie was. Regardless of where Tupac came from, or whether or not he was acting, you didn’t have to be a gang banging thug to relate to his music.
